The Indianapolis Colts was established as an American football team on January 23, 1953, in Baltimore, and the franchise competes in the National Football League (NFL) as a member of the American Football Conference (AFC) Southern Division. The team advanced to the playoffs ten times winning 3 NFL Championship games in 1958, 1959, and 1968.
