Austin Richard Post (professionally known as Post Malone) was born in the year 1995. He is an American singer, rapper, songwriter, a record producer, and a guitarist.
Born in Syracuse, New York, Post Malone’s father Rich Post was a disc jockey in his youth which made him introduce Post to various genres of music and also make a niche in the music he created. After moving to Grapevine, Texas, Post auditioned for the band Crown The Empire, but he got rejected as, during the audition, his guitar strings broke. But his very first foray into the professional music began when he joined in a heavy metal band, and then experimented on other music when he worked on FL studio.
People started to recognize him or say he gained fame in music when became 20 years old in the year 2015. In 2015, Post Malone had released his single “White Iverson” and it was his debut into fame. Whilst this single was released, in the same month Malone also ended up signing a record deal with the Republic Records.
His debut studio album “Stoney” got released in December 2016 by Republic Records. The single named “Congratulations” from the album gained recognition as it peaked at the number eight position in the Billboard Hot 100. The album now got certified 'Platinum' by the RIAA for having sold more than one million copies.
In September 2017, Malone released a single “Rockstar” from the album “Beerbongs and Bentleys” which featured the band 21 Savage. The album “Beerbong and Bentleys” was to be released at the end of November 2017, but then the release got pushed further to 2018 thereby releasing the singles one after another. When “Rockstar” was released, the song got so popular that it peaked at the number one position on the Billboard Hot 100, and stayed right on spot for eight consecutive weeks. The official music video for the same song “Rockstar” was released in November 2017. By February 23, 2018, another song of Malone got released with the collaboration of Ty Dolla Sign named “Psycho”. The song peaked in the second position at the Billboard Hot 100 and thus making it Malone’s third entry into the Billboard Top 10.
Soon after so much of popularity, Malone announced his North American musical tour with the rapper 21 Savage. The Rolling Stone also christened Post Malone as the “Most Popular Musician in the Country”. Malone prefers to call his music genre-less as his music has a mix of country, hip-hop, R&B and spooky electric folk.
His conduct has been in the light as he is labeled as the “Donald Trump of Hip-Hop” as his rant on African-Americans is sometimes a talk of the town. His Record’s executives have always kept saying that what should have been killing his career had actually made him a well-known, famous star.
